Natural Edge Boards (UK redwood)

A traditional cladding board cut that has one square edge and one waney edge (also known as a waney edge board). Our natural edge boards are Tanalised and supplied in random widths of approximately 150 mm to 250 mm. With age, the bark is liable to fall off.

Please be aware that measurements can vary between packs.

Name Description Price
3.6 m Random width (150 mm - 250 mm) x 19 mm thick £11.40
4.8 m Random width (150 mm - 250 mm) x 19 mm thick £15.00

For untreated OAK, WESTERN RED CEDAR and LARCH natural edge boards, please see the Natural Edge Cladding page.

Overlap Cladding (UK redwood)

A moulded cladding board cut from UK grown larch or Douglas fir. These boards have a sawn finish and and eased edges, and have been pressure treated with Tanalith preservative.  They finish at 22 mm thick and are designed to slot together giving a coverage of approximately 110 mm per board.

Name Description Price
3.6 m 125 x 22 mm £4.80

Heavy Duty Feather Edge (Tanalised Softwood)

Two feather-edge boards are cut from a piece of timber measuring 200 x 38 mm, which gives a thick edge of approximately 23 mm and a thin edge of approximately 12 mm (measurements can vary).

Overlap boards by 50 mm to give a coverage of 150 mm per board.

Please be aware that measurements can vary between packs.

Name Description Price
3.6 m long 200 mm wide x 23 mm/12 mm thick (thick edge/thin edge) £6.60

For untreated OAK, WESTERN RED CEDAR and LARCH feather edge cladding, please see the Feather Edge Cladding page.

Tanalised Tongue & Grooved Shiplap

Our shiplap cladding is planed and Tanalised. The profile is designed to allow water to run from the joint between boards when it is used horizontally. The coverage per board is approximately 115 mm.

Name Description Price
Shiplap 3.9 m, 16 mm thick (finished size), 115 mm coverage per board £6.32
Shiplap 4.8 m, 16 mm thick (finished size), 115 mm coverage per board £7.78

Tanalised Tongue & Grooved Matchboard

Our matchboard cladding is planed and Tanalised. Unlike shiplap, matchboard is designed to be used vertically, so is more suited to a panel, infill or gate than cladding a building or shed. The coverage per board is approximately 115 mm.

Name Description Price
Matchboard 3.9 m, 16 mm thick (finished size), 115 mm coverage per board £6.32

Matchboard 4.8 m, 19 mm thick (finished size), 115 mm coverage per board £10.08

PLEASE NOTE: The nature of timber is that it may shrink, split and crack in hot weather as it gives up moisture into an atmosphere drier than itself, and may swell in wet weather, as it takes up moisture from an atmosphere wetter than itself.  We are not responsible for this as it is an inherent characteristic of wood; we give this information so you can make informed decisions about using wood.
