Oak Posts

Oak is a naturally durable timber which can be used outdoors and in ground contact without further treatment. Our posts are supplied with a sawn finish and square-ended, but can be planed and four-way topped to order. Notice is required for machining and it will incur a charge.

PLEASE BE AWARE: fresh sawn oak is initially a light brown colour, but fades to a silver/grey over time when exposed to the elements. As oak timber weathers it will also shrink, which may result in splitting, bowing and twisting. Please take this into consideration before ordering.

Other sizes are available cut to order from our sawmill. Please contact our yard at Belvoir to discuss your requirements. Collection can be arranged from our Syston yard if required.
