JOB TITLE
Timber Yard Assistant
CONTRACT
Short term contract
Full time hours
HOURS
Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
Every other Saturday morning, 8:00 am to 12:00 pm
DUTIES
- Keeping the yard, mill and offices clean and tidy
- Fetching and carrying timber and other products
- Assisting customers and loading timber
- Packing orders
This list is not exhaustive, and you will be expected to perform other tasks that may reasonably be undertaken in this type of job given your experience, training and competence.
RATE OF PAY
- Minimum wage for your age
- No premium rate for weekday overtime
- 1.5 times basic rate for Saturday morning work
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Health & safety aware
- Numerate
- Reliable and hard-working
- Attention to detail
- Physically fit
This is an outdoor job that will be physically demanding.
